In 1937 United Paper Box Company was started to manufacture paperboard rings that protected pies for a local pie company. Since Holyoke was considered to be the paper city, there was an excess of paper trim from the different paper manufacturers. These paper manufacturers would trim the paper to 8 1/2" x 11" sheets. So in the 40's United Paper Box Company started making 8½ x 11 boxes to hold this paper that would be used in typewriters. This went on through the 50's and 60's. In the early 70's when the EPA regulations tightened, many of the paper manufacturers closed. In the mid 70s United Paper Box Company started to manufacture boxes to hold greeting cards and ledger paper. In 1981, We formed our corporation known as UNI-PAC. During the 80s the software industry was starting to take off. United Paper Box Company became a major packaging manufacturer serving this growing industry. As software applications were changing in the 90's, we in turn accommodated their needs, from the design and manufacture of boxes used for large manuals, to more cost-efficient designs including jewel cases, blisters, blister cards and clamshells, to name a few. It was also at this time that we became a major manufacturer and retail packaging supplier to the clothing, footwear, and cosmetic industries.

We pride ourselves in the quality of our product, and believe that our company's stability through these years is a result of desire and commitment of service to our customers. We can handle all of your packaging needs just as we have done the past 64 years.

We look forward to serving you!
